Today was a great day of giving for our club. We presented a check to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kansas City, Olathe Chapter and Jim Houvener was able to deliver 215 lbs of food and necessity items to the Multi-Service Center in Johnson County. A big thank you to all members who donated and to Nick Wilson for helping Jim out with collecting them. Rotary Rocks!
Pictured with Jim is Theresa Hicks, North Central Manager, Human Services for Johnson County who was very excited and appreciative of the donation.
Club President, Kelly Bosak, presents a check for $1,000.00 to the Boys & Girls Club Greater Kansas City, Olathe Chapter this morning, proceeds from our Guns & Horses event held earlier this year! More Fun fundraising to come.
Look what we got to do the other day! We presented a check for $2500.00 to Cindy Mense of Charlie's House. Proceeds from our Guns and Horses event. Rotary is about doing good in the world. Come to a meeting to find out how you can help.
Members, Dave Huston, Mike McVey and Kelly Vaille walked a mile of trail this morning picking up litter to keep the trail at Clear Creek clean for cyclists and walkers. It is always a good feeling doing these hands on projects. It was a warm morning but we weathered the humidity to get the job done. If you haven't walked or ridden the trail you really should, If you haven't come to a Rotary meeting at our new digs at Eggtc on Renner join us. You can get involved in projects like this and meet new business contacts and make some friends. Always "Service above Self".
