If you missed this last week's meeting, here are the updates!

•  April 7th - Virtual Music Bingo:  Club fundraiser benefiting CASA and Veterans Community Project   PLEASE sign up HERE to reserve your cards!
•  April 9th – Sleep in Heavenly Peace Bed Building Project:  Our club recently donated $3,000 towards beds for kids here in Kansas City!  In addition, many of our club members will be volunteering on the 9th to help build those beds!
•  April 23rd – Learn to Curl Membership Drive:  If you're interested in learning more about our club, this is a great chance to come spend some fun time with other Rotarians!  Please CONTACT US if you would like to join us on the 23rd!
•  May 7th - Lenexa Art Fair:  More information to come on how our club will be involved at this event.

Our speakers for the evening were Mitchell Thompson (Eagle Scout leading our Sleep in Heavenly Peace bed build on April 9th) and Justin & Rachel Kroh (Presidents of the Gardner Chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace).  Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) ensures "No kid sleeps on the floor in our town!"  Through donations and fundraisers, materials (lumber, hardware, bedding) are purchased and bed build days are coordinated throughout the year.  As an Eagle Scout, Mitchell is required to lead a project.  Working with Justin & Rachel, Mitchell is organizing volunteers to help with the build on April 9th.

Do you want to help on Saturday 4/9?  Typical builds only last a few hours (9a - Noon).  The more people, the quicker the build!  Our club already has a few people signed up.  If you would like to join us, please sign up here: SIGN UP

Justin & Rachel also shared the need for delivery help with the beds.  If you would be interested in helping deliver and assemble the beds, please CONTACT US and we'll coordinate a time that a few of us from the club can help!

Since we have a busy April with Music Bingo, the SHP bed build, and our Learn to Curl event, we will NOT have a 2nd Tuesday club meeting on 4/12.  Our next club meeting will be Tuesday 4/26 at 5:15p at the Blue Moose in Lenexa.  We would love to have you join us!  Please check out our LEARN MORE page if you'd like to better understand what Rotary can do for you!
