This month continues to be a busy one for members!
We have been collecting donations at every meeting for the Mulit-Service Center Outreach program in Johnson County, competed at the Lenexa Chili Challenge, and picked up trash for Shawnee Adopt-a-Spot on the Clear Creek Streamway trail.
We have had some great speakers. The month started off with Appeals Court Judge, Karen Arnold-Burger explaining the reasons to do your research before selecting a judge on your ballot. We had Shawn Creger, Board of Trustees members from KPERS speak to us about financial awareness, retirement and what is happening with the Department of Labor fiduciary rule. Dr. Chris Kuehl will be speaking to us on Tuesday, October 18th, Chris' presentation is always interesting and entertaining.
On October 25th, Lori McCombs, will host a fireside chat at her house and members are asked to bring donations of  used blankets, gloves or hats and any extra plastic bags for UPlift.
Life as a Rotarian is busy but always fulfilling!
